Artech Lighting

Sustainable Lighting

Artech Lighting is committed to creating a brighter, cleaner, better future.

As a responsible business, we work to be a good neighbour, give back to communities, behave ethically and responsibly, foster a healthy working environment and do the things that lessen our impact on the planet.

Every decision we make has an impact – Artech Lighting is working hard to ensure they are positive ones.

Manufacturing

As a proud UK manufacturer, developing products to exacting British standards, we work hard to ensure our success is shared with our neighbours.

Artech sources all materials from as many local suppliers as possible. Cost used to be king, but now it’s just as important to reduce our carbon output and ensure that our drive to reduce emissions goes beyond thinking about our factory and as far as how we source materials and components.

The drive for sustainability does not stop – it is continuous.

All of the electricity used in the Artech plant comes from renewable sources, we have on site EV charging capability and are currently planning the installation of photovoltaic panels at our 160,000sqft manufacturing facility, to generate our own electricity.

Eliminating waste

Every product that leaves our factory has minimum packaging to ensure it arrives on site safely, but also that on-site waste, that can have a major impact on the environment, is reduced.

None of Artech’s waste goes to landfill, and everything that can be recycled is recycled. Single-use plastics have been eliminated on site and we’re working hard to create a paperless office.

“Real, sustained positive change begins with baby steps, but once that culture is embedded it becomes part of everything you do as a business. Sustainability is part of every decision, investment and hire you make – it becomes second nature and that can only be a good thing.”
